The Mortgage Finance Authority holds a mortgage forum today on the general strategy of activating mortgage finance at Conrad Hotel. The forum will be attended by a selected group of journalists, media specialists, chief editors specialized in the fields of economics, business and finance, representatives of the USAID in addition to the MFA board members, Mortgage Finance Subsidy and Guarantee Fund, and representatives of the Ministry of Investment and the Ministry of State for Administrative Development.

The MFA chairman will deliver the main speech which will be followed by other important topics such as the MFA's objectives and achievements in developing the real estate market in Egypt. The MFA chairman will also dedicate half an hour after the presentation for questions and answers followed by an interviews with the press and media.

The mortgage forum run by the MFA chairman will address many important topics such as activating the Egyptian real estate market, the steps taken by the MFA for mortgage finance development in addition to the MFA's strategic work plan for 2005-2008. He will announce at the symposium the estimated date for launching the MFA portal, the organization of workshops for media specialists on mortgage finance and the start up of the MFA's hot line to answer all the questions of the public.

The MFA is the government regulatory agency established by Presidential Decree #277/2001 with the objective of creating an effective and vital mortgage finance market to contribute to developing the Egyptian economy. This will help increase the percentage of ownership of residential and commercial units and protect investors' rights and the different market participants.
